This new book edited by CISL fellow Paul Fisher, contains a set of essays by practitioners, thought leaders and experts from across Europe. They were all contributors in some way to the work of the EC’s High Level Expert group on Sustainable Finance in 2017-18, with Paul representing CISL as the only named academic on the group.
The topics range widely, from Fiduciary Duty to the Just Transition, from ESG indexes to central banking policy. And they include contributions from current and past CISL staff – Nina Seega, Kajetan Czyż, Andrew Voysey - and CISL Fellows Steve Waygood and Kern Alexander. The book gives the analysis and views of the contributors – which are sometimes critical of official policy.
Who should read this book?
It is aimed at practitioners, academics, students and policy makers – anyone working in the growing field of sustainable finance. It was described by (CISL Fellow) Rhian Mari Thomas, now CEO of the Green Finance Institute as ‘Practical. Candid. Timely.’ And by the new Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey as ‘ .. an important contribution to a rapidly changing landscape.’
