We are looking for an enthusiastic Team Administrator to join the Centre for Policy and Industrial Transformation within the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). As Team Administrator, you will provide complete administrative support to the Centre for Policy and Industrial Transformation team in order to support the effective and efficient management of the team.

CISL is a globally influential institute within the University of Cambridge working on a mission to develop leadership and solutions towards a sustainable economy. Within CISL, the Centre for Policy and Industrial Transformation develops high impact, systemic solutions to drive policy and industrial change towards a sustainable economy. Through the senior corporate membership of the Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group (CLG) and CLG Europe, we advocate solutions to climate change with policymakers and business peers at the highest level. Through our work with industry, we inspire collaboration and interaction across industrial sectors to drive future productivity and competitiveness.

Based in CISL’s Cambridge office, you will be involved in supporting a dynamic team (including five team members who work out of CISL’s office in Brussels) across a range of projects involving both the CLGs and wider industry partners. The role will provide a critical foundation for the rest of the team, ensuring work runs smoothly. The focus will be primarily to ensure administrative, procedural and contractual obligations across the team are met.

Key activities for this role will include: booking travel and hotels, venue searches and liaison, event support, supporting the Director with diary management, arranging meetings, processing invoices and note taking. This is a great opportunity to join a team passionate about delivering impact. 

As well as being committed to the values that underpin CISL’s work, applicants will be expected to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:

  • High level of administrative experience.
  • Experience in organising events and / or booking travel and accommodation.
  • Demonstrable competence in the use of standard software packages, (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook).
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of facts, principles, processes and general concepts related to administration.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • High standard of attention to detail.
  • Educated to at least A Level or equivalent standard / NVQ level 3 or equivalent level of practical experience.

The following attributes will also be desirable:

  • Knowledge of University of Cambridge administrative processes and finance system.
  • A demonstrable interest in Sustainability and commitment to the values that underpin CISL’s work.

This post is full-time and located in Cambridge.
