Salary: £29,176 - £34,804


We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced Executive Education team, working with influential organisations to drive positive change and sustainable futures for their organisations and society as a whole. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of projects and events, ensuring that all activities are managed to a consistent standard of excellence.

The Project Manager is responsible for projects involving international business leaders, government officials, board members and senior functional staff (including HR, strategy, finance, marketing and sustainability). They also work with delivery partners across CISL’s international markets, including the Middle East and China, and CISL Fellows and Senior Associates, who support and contribute to the delivery of programmes and services.

The ideal candidate will have experience in running and managing projects and events from planning and administration through to delivery and evaluation. They will also manage other types of projects such as advisory and international programmes. The Project Manager works under the direction of the Programme Manager and Programme Director and in close collaboration with senior colleagues within CISL.

Applicants must be committed to the values that underpin CISL’s work and will be expected to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:

  • Ability to manage complex projects and work under pressure;
  • Experience of managing project budgets and financial administration;
  • Proven ability to work within a fast-paced team and deliver high quality work;
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders and to coordinate project teams;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail;
  • Experience of managing and delivering events, ideally in a customer-oriented environment;
  • Ability to research and organise information and produce accessible briefing documents;
  • High level of competence across standard Microsoft software packages;

The following attributes are desirable:

  • Knowledge of sustainability issues;
  • Formal project management qualifications.

This is a full-time, permanent position located in Cambridge.
