Job opportunity 

Over the next ten years we must act urgently to turn around the nature crisis. This will require a transformation of our economic and financial systems to fully account for nature, alongside changes to many aspects of how we live our lives. It will need a paradigm shift in how all of us view and value nature and mobilise resources to enable this transition. 
In this role you will help businesses understand their impacts and dependencies on nature, set evidence-based goals and align their strategies and decision-making to accelerate nature positive outcomes.

About the role

CISL has been working with business on nature for over 15 years and is well regarded for advancing ambitious business action, policy setting and financing.

You will be part of a dynamic team with unique access to CISL's international network and the Cambridge community. You will be entrepreneurial and have confidence to:

•    Build and manage relationships with some of the world's most influential companies to identify and advance opportunities for nature-positive strategies
•    Lead collaborative projects and support the development and application of CISL's thought leadership and tools to enable companies to become nature-positive 
•    Leverage scientific and industry evidence and trends to inform and support business understanding and action, producing high quality outputs 
•    Manage external delivery partners, providing critical input and overseeing project delivery to assure quality 
•    Support the development of joint project opportunities and work closely with colleagues in other portfolios connecting business, policy and finance on nature 

Your knowledge, experience and skills

•    Knowledge and experience working with nature - biodiversity and natural capital - and able to identify business risks and opportunities
•    Understanding of corporate supply chains and business approaches to investing in nature, and knowledge of current best practice and trends 
•    Commercially minded with strong project management experience and skills, including business development and financial planning
•    Ability to synthesise technical information and translate it for a business audience in reports, presentations and at events
•    Ability to research and prepare information to be presented to a variety of senior audiences and industries
•    Ability to deliver presentations, briefings and facilitate sessions on key issues that are of collaborative and commercial importance with an engaging narrative to businesses
•    Educated at least to degree level/ academic background in a relevant field
