29 November 2016 – CISL partners with online education company, GetSmarter, to offer a new short course to a global audience.

The Business Sustainability Management course, currently open for registration and beginning early next year, focuses on arming existing and future business leaders with the tools they need to argue for and implement sustainability strategies throughout their corporate or social structures.

The shifting landscape

Organisations across sectors and geographies are placing increasing importance on sustainability practices – whether driven internally or by pressure from consumers, investors or governing bodies. Consequently, more emphasis is being placed on integrated sustainability strategies that show real business benefits. Sustainability leaders have an opportunity to become the drivers of business growth, as they develop new markets, practices and services which deliver benefits both to the business and society.

Learn flexibly with tutor guidance

Business Sustainability Management is available worldwide and provides flexibility for working professionals, harnessing executive coaching methodologies, 24-hour technical support, and collaborative online forums.

The first presentation of the course begins on 27 February 2017, and will run for 8 weeks, entirely online. Students will be required to commit 8–12 hours toward the course each week and will receive interactive lectures, guest lectures and advice from global industry leaders including Ian Ellison, Sustainability Manager at Jaguar Land Rover, Mike Barry, Head of Sustainable Business at Marks and Spencer, James Stacey, Partner at ERM; and leading author and environmentalist Tony Juniper.

Upon passing the course, students receive a certificate of competence and entry-level access to the CISL alumni network – consisting of almost 8,000 like-minded business leaders around the world.
