Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)

Polly Courtice and fellow awardee Rob Boogaard of Interface

Dame Polly Courtice, Director of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership was recognised with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Ethical Corporation awards in London this week.

Commenting on her Lifetime Achievement Award, Dame Polly said:

“I am delighted to receive this award, not least because it reminds me how fortunate I am to have been involved in the field of sustainability leadership for nearly 30 years.

During that time I have worked with so many exceptional colleagues at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and from the wider University. Their determination and skill has been a powerful driving force behind our mission.

CISL’s real achievement has been to help thousands of leaders from business and government from around the world to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to build a more sustainable economy.

I’m in no doubt that companies that put sustainability at the heart of their strategy are better prepared for the future and also better places to work.”

In 2015 Dame Polly was awarded the Bright Award from Stanford University for her contribution to global sustainability and she was made a Dame in the 2016 Queen’s birthday honours for services to sustainability leadership.
