Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)

17 March 2020 – CISL is very closely monitoring and actively responding to developments relating to the spread of the novel coronavirus. We know that we, like everyone else, will have to make alternative arrangements for many of our planned activities in the weeks and months ahead.

Over the past few weeks we have had to take the difficult decision to postpone or rearrange a number of our events and meetings – including executive education programmes, networking events and conference attendance.

Our top priority is to ensure that our engagements do not contribute to further transmission of the virus, and to protect the health and safety of our staff, students and clients. We will do everything we can to minimise disruption, while responding to evolving government and other guidance.

In the meantime we are working to ensure that there is continued access to education for our students, and that our clients are able to continue to engage with us and our capacity building, research and convening activities.

All CISL meetings and events from now until further notice will be run remotely, and where possible, we are working to hold our events in virtual formats.

We appreciate that these arrangements may be disruptive, and that they may lead to disappointment. We share those disappointments and will try to make the process as smooth as possible by communicating early with our stakeholders and taking a collaborative approach to exploring alternative approaches to project delivery.
