Mats is an engineer and sustainability professional with experience from the development and deployment of adaptation and mitigation climate technologies as well as carbon market validation and verification.

 

Biography

Mats has also spent time through his Cambridge master thesis on developing an understanding of the physical limits and opportunities for deploying low carbon technologies in line with a 2 degree target. Mats current position involves work with DNV GL’s Energy Transition outlook model, energy transition risk, and to improve and support United Nations climate technology transfer mechanism.

Mats have previous experience from a large number of renewable and carbon emission reduction projects, working with customers participating in the Clean Development Mechanism for the United Nations. Mats holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University and a Master of Science in Marine Technology from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway.
