Biography
Early in her career, Joanne worked in the multi-disciplinary practice, Arup Associates, enjoying the collaborative team culture on projects such as Plantation Place South and the Kensington Oval Cricket Ground, Barbados.
Following a move into mainstream building engineering, she has continued working on a variety of building projects. Joanne is responsible for projects such as Eton Manor, the wheelchair tennis venue for London 2012, commercial development The Walbrook, City of London and Dagenham Park School, an exemplar project from the Building Schools for the Future programme.
Joanne has continued her interest in interdisciplinary design through the IDBE course, graduating in 2011. She is also a Chartered Member of Institution of Civil Engineers.
Her primary focus is the coordination of all engineering disciplines with the architectural intent, to achieve successful buildings which are appropriate for those who will live, work and study in them.
Joanne maintains a keen interest in developing successful interdisciplinary teams both through her day to day project work in the building design industry and through support of the IDBE course.
