Biography
She is also President of the Council for the Walmart Institute and acts as Vice-President of the Brazilian National Retail Association. Daniela is a member of the Executive Council of the Institute for Retail Development, the Council for Development of the City of São Paulo and the Strategic Council of the Network of Brazilian Women for Sustainability lead by the Minister of Environment of Brazil. Daniela has supported Wal-Mart’s growth through developing and strengthening relationships with customers, associates, authorities, media, communities, NGOs and other organisations. Prior to joining Walmart, she lead the Corporate Affairs team for Cargill Brazil. Prior to joining Cargill, she worked for the University of São Paulo and for a daily newspaper as a reporter. In January 2010, she was honoured as 'Entrepreneur of the Year 2009', the highest honour awarded by Walmart Brazil.
