Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)

4 May 2020 – The Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) is inviting leaders in business, government, civil society and academia to identify and debate the critical questions that need to be answered in order to enhance our understanding and improve decision-making to secure the Future we Want.

Through our work over the past 30 years, we have seen the positive impact of leaders across business, government and finance coming together to engage, debate and discuss with open minds the best routes to tackle global challenges. We have seen the impact of leadership that takes stock of the changing context, asks difficult questions that recognise the scale of change required, and seeks solutions equal to the challenge.

Now, as we tackle one of the biggest global crises of our time, this approach is needed more than ever to ensure we do not sleepwalk into the next crisis; to ensure we, collectively, emerge from this stronger and more resilient, and ready for the road ahead.

As a first step in this new initiative, CISL is inviting its global Network of leaders from business, government, civil society and academia to pose the questions they think need answering if we are to ’build back better’.
