Learning approach

Learning approach

The content is taught using our distinctive, collaborative learning approach with a strong emphasis on learning from shared experience and best-practice case studies. Project-based learning to support strategy development and implementation is a key feature of the programme, as is the opportunity to engage and collaborate with a world-class network of contributors and practitioners from business, NGOs, academia and government, who combine expert perspectives with real candour and constructive challenge.

Workshops

The programme content is predominantly taught through two workshops

The first workshop aims to build awareness of the key sustainability risks and opportunities and then explores the business case for responding. Participants examine the evolution of the field and then look at the existing tools and techniques for improving sustainability in value chains.

The second workshop explores innovative approaches to catalysing change within and beyond organisations, focusing on business models and relationships with key stakeholders.

Each workshop provides a mixture of expert input, leading industry case studies and commentary, intensive group discussion, facilitated project planning and review, opportunities for peer support, and informal networking between participants.
