We are grateful for the support of our Strategic Partners and the generosity of individual donors and foundations, which enables us to extend our reach and impact in areas which are not fundable from other sources.
The impact of sponsorship and donations
The generous support that we receive enables us to:
- Undertake targeted research into the solutions to critical global problems
- Convert research insights into tools to help companies factor in sustainability risks
- Provide opportunities for leaders in developing economies and not-for-profit sectors to attend our programmes
- Convene, inform and challenge influential decision-makers to engage with the evidence, and take action to deliver change for the long-term benefit of society
Opportunities for philanthropic investment
We harness the intellectual capital within the University and stimulate action-centred research that has a material impact on the way that businesses, financial institutions and policymakers achieve sustainability outcomes for the long-term benefit of society.
An example is post-doctoral researcher Dr Jonathan Green’s work with the Natural Capital Leaders Platform, funded by the Isaac Newton Trust for a three-year period. Sitting in the Department of Geography, Jonathan acts as an intellectual bridge between the University’s academic sphere and our business communities with the aim of ensuring research can have a material impact on corporate decision-making and investments regarding natural capital.

We welcome support for our bursary fund which supports the participation of leaders from NGOs, governments and developing economy organisations in our graduate and executive programmes.
The fund for graduate programmes was established by alumni of our sustainable business Master's-level programmes to assist applicants who would otherwise find it difficult to participate.
