The Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) builds strategic leadership capacity to tackle global challenges. We do this through the delivery of leadership programmes and collaborative projects with business and policy leaders around the world.

Applications are invited for a part-time Human Resources Administrator to support all HR activities within CISL.

The post holder will provide administrative support to the Head of HR & Business Services in order to provide a professional, timely and efficient HR administrative service and to ensure the Institute complies with employment legislation and University best practice.  

You will be the first point of contact for enquiries on a wide range of HR procedures and administrative processes, and will manage the administration of a variety of HR tasks, with a particular focus on recruitment activities.  You will work closely with the teams within the central HR Division.

The role would suit someone looking to develop or broaden skills in HR Administration. The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate the following:-

  • relevant administrative experience
  • excellent IT and communication skills
  • able to deliver a high level of customer service
  •  able to plan and prioritise own workload.
  • educated to A level standard, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • confidence and tact in dealing with people at all levels within and beyond the University
  • ability to work in a team and to prioritise own workload effectively
  • flexible approach with a willingness to take on additional duties as necessary

 Experience of working in a Higher Education environment, an interest in HR and some basic employment law knowledge would be an advantage.
