PCSB is designed for senior and mid-career managers with at least three years' work experience, who want to explore business practices and opportunities in the area of sustainability and are looking to further their own personal development in the field. The course focuses on sustainability in a business context, being particularly targeted at those in mainstream business roles. However, we also welcome applications from those working in the not-for-profit and government sectors who are interested in gaining exposure to these issues.
Typical job titles include functional heads such as Director of Marketing, Director of Corporate Communications and Director of Public Affairs; and specialist managers such as Sustainable Development Manager, Environmental Director, Stakeholder Relations Director and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Executive, amongst others.
The programme is regularly oversubscribed. In addition to the formal requirements, we are particularly looking for candidates who can demonstrate academic or professional excellence and who are committed to using their learning from the programme to lead or influence change.
We welcome applicants from outside the UK. The part-time course based around two workshops has been designed to be accessible for participants based throughout the world. The content is internationally relevant, however it should be noted that the programme is developed and delivered by a predominantly UK team.
Participants benefit from sharing their learning experience with a rich mixture of peers representing a variety of sectors and based in a large range of geographic locations. This is illustrated by our alumni statistics below.
